Dr. Shailesh V. Deshmukh is diplomate Indian Board of Orthodontics, and the past president of Indian Orthodontic society. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Government Dental College & Hospital, Mumbai University, India in 1984 and joined as a Clinical Assistant at Government Dental College & Hospital, Mumbai. Later, he moved to Private Practice in General Dentistry in Pune, Maharashtra, India. In year 1992, He had completed his master’s in dental surgery in Orthodontics and moved to Vasantdada Patil Dental College & Hospital, Sangli, Maharashtra, India as a Lecturer (1992-1994). Presently Dr. Shailesh V. Deshmukh is Professor & Postgraduate Guide & Facilitator, Bharati Vidyapeeth University Dental College & Hospital, Pune, Maharashtra, India Dr. Shailesh V. Deshmukh has been awarded with prestigious Fellowship – FDSRCS Ed (ROYAL College of surgeons, Edinburgh, London, UK). Dr. Shailesh V. Deshmukh associated with Editorial Panel of the Journal of the Indian Orthodontic Society from 2005-2007, Organizing Secretary 12th IOS & 1st SAARC Postgraduate Orthodontic, Advisory Panel of the Indian Orthodontic Society Times (2008-2009), Executive Committee Member of the Indian Orthodontic Society (2013-2014) and Secretary & Treasurer of the Indian Board of Orthodontics (2013-2014).
