Asst. Prof. Pintu-on Chantarawaratit works as a lecturer in the Department of Orthodontics, Faculty of Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand since 2008. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with second-class honors from Chulalongkorn University in 2003. Dr. Chantarawaratit worked as a junior lecturer in Faculty of Dentistry, Thammasat University for 3 years and then attended the master’s degree in Chulalongkorn University. After completing her Master of Science in Orthodontics, she earned her PhD in Dental Biomaterials from the same university in 2012 and then received her Thai Board of Orthodontics in 2017. In addition, Dr. Chantarawaratit is a committee of the Thai Association of Orthodontists and an editorial committee of the Journal of the Dental Association of Thailand.
Her main research interests are in the areas of biomaterials and dental materials in both biological and mechanical aspects. Recently, she has focused on the corrosion of metal orthodontic appliances and the design of orthodontic miniscrew implants.
